Green Packet Bhd and FETC International Company (FETCi) have announced plans to install multi lane free flow (MLFF) tolling system Proof of Concept (POC) on highways in Malaysia. The MLFF POC will be installed at Besraya KM5.5 (North Bound) and will commence data collection for a duration of three months, starting in early 2022.
The data gathered throughout the three-month POC period will be shared with relevant authorities and stakeholders with the primary goal of assessing the viability of a wide-scale deployment of MLFF. The installation of the new system will lead to congestion-free highways and is in line with the Ministry of Works’ Malaysian Intelligent Transport System (ITS) blueprint.
