The extended section of Bangkok’s Pink Line connecting Sri Rat station to Muang Thong Thani officially began commercial service on June 17, 2025, following a free trial period that ran from May 20, 2025, to June 16, 2025.
The 3 km extension adds two new stations: Impact Thani (MT01) and Muang Thong Thani Lake (MT02). It links to the main 34.5 km Pink Line, which stretches from the Nonthaburi Government Complex on Rattanathibet Road to Min Buri in eastern Bangkok.
The service operates daily from 6:00 a.m. to midnight, with fares starting at THB15 and capped at THB45, depending on travel distance. On weekdays, trains arrive every five minutes during peak hours and every ten minutes during off-peak periods. Weekend services run at ten-minute intervals throughout the day.
The extension improves access to Muang Thong Thani, a key area for events and residential developments, and enhances connectivity within Greater Bangkok’s rail network.
