Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has signed a three-party memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Skyports and Volocopter GmbH to perform a feasibility assessment for the implementation of vertiport infrastructure in Malaysia. The partnership will explore the feasibility of deploying electric air taxi services at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang Airport) and other airports across the country.

Under the terms of the agreement, the parties will utilise their aerospace and aviation expertise to perform a feasibility study, which will look at viable vertiport systems for passenger electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles. The study will also consider factors such as demand, client flow, and ways to integrate urban air mobility (UAM) operations.
