The Ministry of Transport, Malaysia, has appointed Mohd Khairul Adib Abd Rahman as the new chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), with effect from June 1, 2020. Khairul takes over the chairmanship following a nearly two-year vacancy after its previous incumbent Seri Azharuddin Abd Rahman resigned on August 14, 2018. Prior to this, Khairul served as director general of the Public Service Department, Malaysia. Similarly, former pilot Chester Voo Chee Soon, who has served as a flight operations director for a domestic airline, is now serving as the CEO of CAAM since June 1, 2020.
