The Malaysian government has named Mohd Bakke Salleh as chairman of the national oil company Petronas, with effect from August 1, 2021. In his role as a director of Petronas, Salleh significantly contributed in establishing a major liquefied natural gas project in Canada. Salleh also chairs the board of Telekom Malaysia.
