Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Company Limited (Mitsubishi) and Eternity Grand Logistics Public Company Limited (Eternity), a subsidiary of Hitachi Transport System Group, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with to conduct a pilot study on commercial feasibility of deploying electric vehicles (EV) in Thailand.
According to the terms of the agreement, Mitsubishi will supply the Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV, a compact commercial EV for the study, and Eternity will use the vehicle for a trail period of a year in its logistics operations. The goal of the research is to better comprehend and investigate the introduction of EVs for business applications by evaluating actual usage data such as mileage, charging history, and delivery route.
