Construction has commenced on a 48 MW solar power project in Lopburi, developed by Minebea Super Solar Power Ltd., a joint venture between MinebeaMitsumi and Super Energy. The project is part of a broader photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio, which also includes a 104 MW / 129 MWh installation in Bang Pa-in, supporting industrial-scale clean energy deployment in Thailand.
The development has been selected under Japan’s Fiscal Year 2025 Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), positioning it as a cross-border decarbonisation initiative. Hanersun will supply HITOUCH 6N 715 W bifacial modules based on n-type technology, designed for high performance in hot and humid conditions, with enhanced durability and improved energy yield.
The project forms part of MinebeaMitsumi’s long-term operational roadmap in Thailand and reflects a broader shift toward integrating renewable energy into industrial operations.
