Maibarara Geothermal, Inc. (MGI) has completed the drilling programme for the 20 MW Maibarara geothermal power project in Batangas province. The drilling programme included drilling one production well and one reinjection well, as well as the work-over of an existing production well. MGI is a JV of PetroEnergy Resources Corporation’s subsidiary, PetroGreen Energy Corporation (65 per cent), Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corporation (25 per cent), and PNOC Renewables Corporation (10 per cent). The company is now focusing on finishing work on the steamfield, power plant, and transmission line facilities on schedule for commercial operations in late 2013.
