The Manila Electric Company (Meralco), the largest electric power distributor in the Philippines, has launched the country’s first commercial prototype of the e-vehicle charging station at the company’s compound in Pasig City. The move will encourage people to use e-vehicles, which would reduce their dependence on fuel and cause less air pollution. Also, these vehicles are cost efficient; for as low as PhP 1, the equipment can provide the kW equivalent of that amount. The mobile charging station is fully mobile and weather-proof.
