Manila Electric Company (Meralco) is inviting interested bidders to supply around 1,030 MW of electricity in the Philippines. The firm has issued separate invitations to compete for the 180 MW interim baseload demand and the 850 MW renewable energy (RE) mid-merit capacity for a 20 year period through its Third Party Bids and Awards Committee (TBPAC).
Deadline for submitting the expressions of interest (EOI) for the 850 MW supply has been set for May 18, 2022 while the bids need to be submitted by May 25, 2022. Meanwhile, interested parties have until May 16, 2022 to submit their EOIs for the 180 MW baseload requirement, with bids due on May 23, 2022.
