Meralco and Metrobank Group to build four coal-fired power projects in Mindanao

The power generation units of Meralco and the Metrobank Group are planning to build four coal-fired power projects in Mindanao. Consequently, Meralco PowerGen Corporation and Global Business Power Corporation have recently formed a JV. Some of these proposed projects will have a capacity of 100 MW each. These power projects in Mindanao will be the first for Meralco PowerGen outside Luzon.
