The Philippines’ Department of Transportation is planning to construct a Mega Manila Subway, the first underground metro system in Manila. Spanning 25 km, the line will connect Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It will cover 13 stations in total. The project is expected to require an investment of PhP 227 billion, which will be funded through central grants and loans. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will be conducting the feasibility study for the project.
