West Zone water concessionaire Maynilad Water Services is spending PhP 42 million to replace 7 km of old pipes in various parts of Quezon City. The company has started to replace 4.7 km of secondary pipes in Damar village, which will be followed by replacement of 2.3 km of secondary pipes in various locations such as Barangays San Antonio, Paltok, San Jose, Doña Imelda, Masambong, and Apolonio Samson. The pipe replacement project that will increase water pressure from 15 pounds per square inch (psi) to 30 psi will improve water services for 6,000 residents in Quezon City.
