The Masungi Geopark Project (MGP) has received the National Energy Globe Award 2024 for the Philippines, recognizing its conservation and reforestation efforts in the Upper Marikina Watershed. Masungi has rehabilitated 2,700 hectares of land, boosted climate resilience, and protected 800+ plant and animal species. It sustains its efforts through geo-tourism and employs around 100 local rangers.
