Manila Water Company Incorporated (Manila Water) has launched a prequalification process for contractors looking to participate in the design and construction of the raw water transmission line for the Wawa Water Treatment Plant in Antipolo City, Philippines. Interested bidders for the water treatment plant contract will need to submit a letter of intent on or before November 26, 2021 for the water treatment plant contract. Invitation to bid for the project is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2022.

The first phase of the Wawa Water Treatment Plant project entails supplying 80 MLD of raw water by the end of 2021, while the second phase includes the delivery of 438 MLD of raw water by the end of 2025. Once completed, the water treatment facility will be capable of treating raw water and producing product water that meets the Philippines National Standards for Drinking Water of 2017 as well as the employer’s treated water quality output criteria.
