Malaysia’s Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) has awarded 31 packages worth MYR 30 billion so far for the Klang Valley MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line. The remaining 38 packages are expected to be awarded by 2018. In addition, MRT Corp has announced that the construction of the SSP Line commenced in September 2016 and that 5.3 per cent of the work has been completed. The SSP Line will span 52.2 km from Sungai Buloh to Putrajaya, covering 37 stations (11 underground, 26 elevated). Phase I (Kwasa Damansara-Kampung Batu) is expected to be completed by July 2021, and Phase II (Kampung Batu-Putrajaya Sentral) by July 2022.
