The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has accredited 14 new transport network companies (TNCs), aiming to enhance competition and provide commuters with more options in the ride-hailing sector in the Philippines.
This move aligns with the board’s mandate to improve transportation services for the public. The new additions, including PureRide Corporation and 13 others, bring the total number of accredited TNCs to 19. This expansion is complemented by new transport network vehicle service slots for enhancing commuter welfare and accessibility. Further, the LTFRB will implement policies that support the growth and enhancement of the ride-hailing industry.
