The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is inviting bids to construct new cycling paths in central Singapore, particularly in Bukit Merah, Telok Blangah and Kallang. Work will commence once related feasibility studies are completed.

The construction of these paths will be carried out in phases, with the paths scheduled to open to commuter traffic progressively from 2024. Once the cycling paths are accessible to the public, they will significantly enhance connectivity to various transportation hubs, schools, and neighbourhood centres such as Bukit Merah, Boon Keng, and Tiong Bahru.

As part of the Islandwide Cycling Network (ICN) program, the LTA has been actively expediting the construction of cycling paths throughout the entire island. In addition to the current tender, there are plans to launch additional tenders for new cycling paths in the West. Further details will be shared once plans are finalised.
