LG CNS, a Korea-based provider of information technology services, has secured the contract to build a mobile service network for the mass rapid transit system in Kuala Lumpur. The company has formed a consortium with Malaysia-based Apex Communications to implement the contract by 2017. Under the contract, it will install an IT-based framework consisting of a wireless communication system, surveillance cameras, metro broadcasting facilities, and a security system.
