Levanta Renewables, a portfolio company of Actis, has acquired a 93 MWp portfolio of ground-mounted solar power plants in Thailand, strengthening its presence in the country and advancing its Southeast Asia growth strategy. The transaction value was not disclosed.
The acquired assets are spread across eight provinces and generate more than 140 GWh of electricity annually. Power from the solar plants is supplied under long-term power purchase agreements to the Provincial Electricity Authority and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, providing stable contracted revenues.
Levanta said the acquisition supports its target of reaching 1.5 GW of installed renewable capacity across Southeast Asia by 2028. Thailand remains a core market for the company, which already operates more than 330 MWp of solar capacity in the country.
The latest deal follows Levanta’s recent acquisition of a 91-MWp fully operational ground-mounted solar portfolio across 10 sites in Suphanburi and Kanchanaburi provinces, reinforcing its position as an active investor in Thailand’s clean energy sector.
