Lotte Engineering & Construction Company Limited (LEC) has secured two conditional letters of awards (LOA) worth USD1.64 billion from Lotte Chemical Titan Holdings Bhd (LCT) for engineering and construction work on an integrated petrochemical facility in Indonesia called the Lotte Chemical Indonesia New Ethylene (LINE) project.
The first LOA is an onshore award worth USD755 million under which LEC will construct and deliver the petrochemical plants and facilities for a section of the LINE project. The second LOA is an offshore award worth USD890.6 million under which LEC will undertake the engineering and supply of equipment, materials, and systems for the petrochemical facility.
LCI is the project owner of the LINE project, and is part of the company’s goal to grow its commercial activities in Indonesia by building an integrated petrochemical facility.
