The last three sets of trains have been delivered for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway project in Indonesia.  The electric multiple units (EMUs) include 11 trains and one additional train for comprehensive testing. The vehicles are manufactured by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Company Limited, a unit of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC).

Delivery of the trains commenced in August 2022 and the units are currently undergoing trials before being approved for operations.

The 143.2 km HSR rail project, scheduled to be completed in 2023, is part of the Government of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Once operational, it will reduce travel time between Jakarta and Bandung from three hours to 40 minutes.
