Laos, along with Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, has held talks to consider a plan for export of electricity to Singapore through transmission lines in Malaysia and Thailand. Malaysia has pledged to take the responsibility for technical affairs relating to the proposed project. The countries are now discussing the commercial feasibility of the project and related procedures, the relevant laws involved, and the possible delegation of work among the participating countries.
