Lao Airlines, Lao-Viet Insurance Company, and Banque pour le Commerce Exterieur Lao have signed a contract to purchase two new ATR 72-600 aircraft. Of the two aircraft, one will replace a crashed aircraft, while the second will operate on a different route. The reimbursement for the crashed aircraft stands at $22 million.
