South Korean telecom player KT Corporation’s satellite service arm, KT Sat Company, has secured a contract to develop a high-speed satellite telecommunications network in Papua province in Indonesia. KT SAT Company will partner with local satellite internet service provider Dwi Tunggal Putra (DTP). The project will be carried out by KT Sat’s Koreasat 7, a satellite that has been providing services in Indonesia since its launch in 2017.

KT Sat currently uses satellites to provide telecommunications and broadcast services in 10 countries, including Malaysia.
