Kerlink, a communications equipment company, is collaborating with Vietnam-based Cloud Energy Software Private Limited, an IoT startup, to develop capacity and solutions to fulfil IoT service demands in rural regions near Ho Chi Minh City. This partnership will expand Kerlink’s previous partnerships on energy-efficiency and smart-building projects in the city.

Kerlink’s long-range and low-power Wirnet iStation gateways and Wanesy Management Centre will be used to manage and administer the new system. Additionally, the system will also be incorporated with Cloud Energy’s LoRaWAN-based metre and data management devices, which is designed to meet the standards of utility scaling. The new system is estimated to save the owners 30 per cent on yearly operation and maintenance expenditures. The cost of a new wired surveillance system is also predicted to be reduced by 30 per cent with new installations.
