Keppel has secured a 25-year contract to design, build, own and operate a large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) system on Changi Airport’s rooftops in Singapore. The PV system will generate a combined capacity of 43 MWp, of which 38 MWp will be installed on the rooftops and the remaining 5 MWp will be installed on a 40,000 square metre turf area within the airport’s airfield. The project is estimated to be completed by 2025.

The Changi Airport Group (CAG) aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 20,000 tonnes annually, which represents around 10 per cent of its 2019 consumption.
