Kelington Group Bhd (Kelington) has secured an RM45 million contract to provide speciality ultra-high purity (UHP) services for GlobalFoundaries Incorporated’s (GF) semiconductor fabrication unit in Singapore.
Under the terms of the contract, Kelington will be in charge of the speciality gas system transmission work for the first phase of GF’s 300mm wafer fab building. The advanced semiconductor production facility is equipped with memory solutions aimed at fast-growing industries such as automotive, 5G mobility, and security devices.
The contract will be for a period of one-year and is set to expire in July 2022. The project is expected to boost Kelington’s earnings and net assets for the 2021 and 2022 financial years.
