The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will be providing an official development assistance (ODA) loan of JPY 10,142 million to Indonesia. The loan will be utilised to fund three projects in the country: two of them pertain to power generation and supply, while the third involves the establishment of a flood management system. The two projects in the power sector are:

  • The Indramayu Coal Fired Power Plant Project: The project includes the construction of a 1,000 MW coal-fired power plant at Indramayu in theWest Java province. The new facility will be installed with state-of-the-art technology and will supply power to Jabodetabek and West Java province.
  • Tulehu Geothermal Power Plant Project: This project is part of Indonesia’s Geothermal Development Acceleration Program. It involves the construction of a 20 MW geothermal power plant that will replace the diesel power plant on Ambon Island in Maluku province.
