Japan-based JGC has been awarded a ¥60 billion ($500 million) contract to help Petronas expand its lequified petroleum gas (LNG) complex in Sarawak, Malaysia. The engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract will see JGC build pipelines and associated facilities at the site. These will connect storage tanks to shipping facilities and link the eight existing LNG trains to the ninth plant, which is currently being built by JGC under a separate contract.
