Deutsche Bank has appointed Jens Ruebbert to head its business in Vietnam. Prior to this position, Ruebbert was CEO of the bank’s Chinese operations. In his new role, Ruebbert will assume the titles of Chief Country Officer and Head of Global Transaction Banking.

The appointment is part of an effort to bring senior talent to the bank’s franchise in the region. The bank’s hiring of K. Lie from Citi in April marked the appointment of the seventh chief country officer in the region over the past two years, after similar appointments in Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, and India, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
