The Japan Bank for International Co-operation has signed a loan agreement with PT Rajamandala Electric Power for financing the Rajamandala hydropower plant project. JBIC’s portion is about $66 million. The loan is co-financed with Mizuho Bank Limited and brings the total co-financing amount to about $110 million. The funds will finance the construction and operation of the run-of-the river hydropower plant. The facility will have a power generation capacity of 47 MW, and will be located in  Rajamandala in the Citarum basin, Cianjur Regency, West Java province, Indonesia. The electricity produced will be sold to PT PLN for a period of 30 years. The facility will utilise Japanese technology for energy generation.
