The Japan government will provide a loan of 11,669 billion dong for infrastructure projects in Vietnam. The loan amount will be utilised for a highway project and an airport terminal in Hanoi, and a hydropower project in southern Vietnam. Japan emerged as the largest donor to Vietnam, with an estimated amount of 43,218.6 billion dong, during 2012–13.
