The Japan government has provided a loan of 558.7 billion kip for three projects in Laos. The breakdown of the loan for the three projects is as follows: over 417 billion kip for the expansion of the Nam Ngum I hydropower project; 18.8 billion kip in grants for human resource development; and 123.8 billion kip for the development of a water supply system in Thakhaek district of Khammuan province.
