Vikram Kumar has been appointed as the Regional Industry Director for Infrastructure and Natural Resources in Asia-Pacific at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Kumar will be based in Singapore, bringing over 20 years of global investment and development expertise to his new role. In his new role, Kumar will handle primary responsibilities which will include leading IFC’s investment teams to develop and implement critical projects across various sectors, such as power, water, telecom, and transport.
His extensive experience and strategic vision are expected to enhance IFC’s impact in promoting sustainable infrastructure throughout Asia and the Pacific. Prior to this appointment, Kumar served as IFC’s Global Transport Manager, where he successfully tripled IFC’s investments in the transport sector during the financial year 2023.
