PT Infra Fiber Teknologi (IFT), backed by Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and Arsari Group, has launched as an independent, open-access fiber digital infrastructure platform to strengthen Indonesia’s digital backbone. The platform will operate more than 86,000 km of fiber infrastructure, including backbone, domestic subsea and access networks, providing wholesale connectivity services to telecommunications operators, enterprises, hyperscalers and digital service providers across the country.
The launch follows a strategic transaction completed after an investment agreement signed in December 2025, under which Indosat and PT Aplikanusa Lintasarta transferred ownership of IFT to Arsari Group’s investment platform, PT Nusantara Fiber Teknologi (NFT), while retaining a combined 49.9 per cent stake. The transaction generated approximately IDR11.7 trillion in gross proceeds for IOH Group, which will be reinvested in core connectivity, 5G deployment and AI-ready digital services. IFT plans to expand fiber infrastructure in underserved regions, enhance wholesale partnerships and improve nationwide digital connectivity to support Indonesia’s growing digital economy.
