Indonesia’s state-owned energy company Pertamina has signed a preliminary agreement to supply state electricity utility Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) with natural gas for the next 30 years. As per the deal, Pertamina agreed to sell 100 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d) of natural gas to PLN at a price of $7.6 per million British thermal units. Of that amount, $6.7 is for the gas itself and 90 cents is the toll fee for a gas pipeline. The gas will be supplied from the Jambaran-Tiung Biru field in East Java which is expected to start production by the end of 2020 or beginning of 2021.
