In a bid to boost economic growth, the Indonesian government plans to float tenders for several medium- to mega-scale infrastructure projects worth $7.6 billion in 2013. Most of these projects are expected to begin construction by the third quarter of 2013. Major projects ready for tendering this year include a toll road to New Priok port (North Jakarta), the Karian dam (Lebak in Banten), the Jatigede dam (Sumedang in West Java), and several sections of the Cileunyi–Sumedang–Dawuan toll road. Tenders for these projects are expected to be opened before the end of January 2013.
