Indonesia plans to offer 27 oil and gas blocks in 2014 in both regular tenders and direct offers. The blocks on offer comprise 20 conventional blocks, 6 shale gas blocks, and 1 coal bed methane block. Meanwhile, the winners of the regular tender of the conventional oil and gas block stage II 2012, along with the direct offer for conventional oil and gas block stage I 2013, were announced.

The winners of the blocks were as follows: Bengara II block: PT Tansr Madjid Energi; Seringpatam I block: PT Equator Energy; Palmerah Baru: Consortium of Bukit Energy Palmera Baru Private Limited, New Zealand Oil and Gas Limited, and PT SNP Indonesia; Sakti block: consortium of Krisenergy (Sakti) BV and PT Golden Heaven Jaya; North East Madura VI block: Golden Code Commercial Limited; Anugerah block: Husky Energy International Corporation and East Bontang block: PT Innovare Gas.

The total investment commitment for the first two investors for three years of exploration is $98.35 million. The total signature bonus stands at $3.5 million. In the case of the last five investors, the total investment commitment for three years of exploration is $56.43 million.
