The Government of Indonesia is preparing infrastructure, legal frameworks and procedures for the Kalimantan Corridor under the ASEAN Customs Transit System (ACTS), which is targeted to begin operations in 2027. The corridor forms part of the Borneo Corridors and requires infrastructure readiness to support cross-border transit operations.
Preparations also include measures to ensure legal and procedural readiness, alongside implementation of the 2026–2030 Strategic Action Plan on Trade in Goods. The Kalimantan ACTS Corridor is expected to support intra-ASEAN trade by facilitating the movement of goods through the region.
