PT Pertamina is planning to develop the 120 MW Bantar Gebang biomass power plant in the city ofBekasiinWest Java. The power plant, to be constructed by Indonesian contractor PT Godang Tua Jaya, will be developed at a cost of Rp1.73 trillion. As feedstock, the plant will use 2,000 tonnes of waste per day from the country’s largest landfill site at Bantargebang. The construction of the plant will begin in 2013; it is expected to become operational in 2014.
