Construction company PT Hutama Karya has received a loan of Rp 3.95 trillion from Bank NegaraIndonesia. The one-year loan consists of Rp 500 billion in cash and Rp 3.45 trillion in non-cash loans, namely, letters of credit and a bank guarantee. The company plans to utilise the loan to fund its ongoing projects that should require at least Rp 13 trillion. The company’s current portfolio of projects under execution include the Benoa–Nusa Dua toll road in Bali, the Mojokerto–Kertosono toll road in East Java, and port projects in Belawan and Kuala Tanjung. Meanwhile,Indonesia’s Ministry of State Enterprise recently announced plans to convert Hutama Karya into a pure-play toll road developer in order to accelerate toll road development in the country.
