ICTSI plans to invest PhP 3 billion in expansion of the Manila ICT and construct an inland container depot

International Container Terminal Services Incorporated (ICTSI) is planning to invest PhP 3 billion in expansion of the Manila international container terminal (ICT) and construct an inland container depot (ICD) in Laguna. The company has allocated PhP 1.6 billion for the expansion project of the Manila ICT through the development of 6 hectares of new yard space. The expansion programme, expected to be completed in 20 months, would add approximately 500,000 TEUs of yard capacity to the Manila ICT. Further, ICTSI will invest PhP 1.4 billion in developing a 21 hectare ICD. The upgrade has been undertaken to handle the growing volumes at the port.
