US-based LuftCar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with eFrancisco Motor Corporation to develop, integrate, deploy, brand and market a hydrogen-powered jeepney van that backs into a special detachable airframe to turn into a high-speed, long-range, cruise-capable vectored-thrust electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) in the Philippines.
The hydrogen jeepneys will have a flight range of 483 km with a speed of 354 km/hr. The jeepneys will have a steering wheel and will be operated via a smartphone.
