A fleet of hydrogen buses supplied by China-based Foshan Feichi Auto Manufacturing Company Limited, has been deployed for a fortnight-long trial in Kuching on August 1, 2019. These buses are the first hydrogen buses to be deployed in Malaysia. The Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), Sarawak Energy Berhad, Foshan Feichi, and Linde Hydrogen FuelTech are the supervisors for the trial. The trial monitors the hydrogen consumption of the buses to determine the filling capacity and to optimise the operations of the hydrogen plant established by Foshan Feichi.
