Hue city has released a comprehensive plan to convert all public transport to electric vehicles (EVs) between 2025 and 2030. From 2025, the city will mandate that 100 percent of new or replacement buses use electric or other clean energy sources. This rule will apply to both current and future bus routes. The initiative supports national emission reduction goals and reflects Hue’s efforts to adopt green mobility solutions.

The plan sets specific targets for other transport modes as well. By 2030, the city aims to convert 60 percent of taxis and 30 percent of contract-based passenger transport vehicles to electric. To support this shift, Hue will build basic EV charging infrastructure by the end of 2025, ensuring sufficient coverage for commercial vehicles. By 2030, each ward and commune in the city is expected to have at least one EV charging point available for both public and private use.
