Huawei, China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) and China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) have proposed expanding cooperation and investment in green energy, digital infrastructure and railway projects connecting Vietnam and China. Areas of interest include renewable energy, gas-fired power, power transmission, energy storage, transport infrastructure, seaports, logistics and railways.
CEEC has expressed interest in participating in three railway projects connecting Vietnam and China: the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Haiphong, Dong Dang–Hanoi and Mong Cai–Ha Long–Haiphong routes. CCCC has also proposed cooperation on the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Haiphong railway and wider transport infrastructure, logistics and seaport projects.
