The HSR project linking Kuala Lumpur and Singapore has attracted proposals from three companies – the UEM Group, the Berhad Ara Group, YTL Corporation Berhad – and a consortium of China Infraglobe and Global Rail Sendirian Berhad. The HSR project is targeted to be completed by 2020. The link will reduce the travel time between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore from eight hours (by train) to 90 minutes.
