The Governments of the United Kingdom (UK) and the Philippines have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost the development of the country’s transport sector. The countries will partner on the development of high-level skills in the rail and maritime sector of the Philippines.

In line with the move, a partnership between the Philippine Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and Solent University and the Philippine Railways Institute and the UK National Skills Academy for Rail was also announced.
