The Government of Philippines’ infrastructure spending for the month of November 2022 reached PHP80.2 billion, a 40 per cent increase from the previous year. Most of this increase is due to a number of road projects being completed during the end of 2022.

Projects completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) covers the construction, repair, and rehabilitation of national, secondary, access, diversion roads and bridges.

Additionally, total infrastructure expenditure for the 11-month period reached PHP P869.2 billion, a more than 14 per cent increase from the 2021 figure.

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) expects disbursements for 2022 to surpass the target spending.
